Courtney Hollmon

My passion for journalism began in 8th grade during a field trip to the career and technical school in my district. That trip sparked my interest, leading me to join the Media Technology program, where I instantly fell in love with the world of storytelling.

 

My dedication grew stronger when I joined the school news program in high school, and since then, I’ve committed myself to learning every aspect of journalism, both in front and behind the camera. Through the guidance of mentors and collaboration with peers, I've been fortunate to gain valuable knowledge and experience that are helping me become a reliable journalist and a strong storyteller.

 

When I’m not immersed in the world of journalism, you can probably find me at the gym, hanging out with friends, listening to music, or journaling. Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy staying active and creative. I’m loving my time at the University of South Carolina and am excited to continue growing, learning, and exploring all the opportunities ahead!”
